What is a Pre-Departure event?
It is an informal reception designed to help newly
accepted LSE students meet each other, existing students and LSE
alumni.
Pre-Departure events are organised globally by the respective local
Alumni Associations to help build the local LSE communities. This will
be the first time such an event takes place in Poland and we hope it
will quickly become an established tradition.

Please let us know if you're coming or not - this will help us reserve enough space at the venue.
We'll start the sign-up list in June 2012. LSE offer holders will receive an official email invitation from the LSE Admissions office. Current students and alumni will receive a reminder directly from us.
Why should you come?
FRESHLY ACCEPTED STUDENTS
- By the time you start at LSE you will have already met your fellow students – you won’t feel alone or homesick!
- You can talk to existing students to ask them about life at the LSE and make sure you’ve got everything covered.
- You can talk to LSE alumni and see what opportunities await in the wide world after LSE
- You’ll have a chance to meet people from the Polish Society and sign up without the typical Freshers’ Fair queue.
CURRENT STUDENTS
- Summer is almost over but there’s still a month to go until the
beginning of the term. Why not meet with your LSE friends ahead of
schedule and catch up on what they’ve been up to during the summer?
- This year LSE has accepted about 40 new Polish under- and
postgraduate students. Come and show them the LSE spirit! Show them the
ropes and ease their first weeks at the School.
- You can talk to LSE alumni and see what opportunities await in the wide world after LSE
ALUMNI
- This is your chance to meet the future alumni before they join our ranks. Call it a “special preview” ;-).
- Meet other alumni, check out what your friends have been up to in the last years!
